"We look forward to working with Feishu to advance AI in the steel industry from 'functional' to 'user-friendly,' and from pilot projects to systematic implementation, jointly exploring replicable paths toward universal AI adoption."
Nangang Embraces Feishu to Pioneer the Path Toward AI Equality
Recently, the Nangang 2026 Artificial Intelligence Digital Forum was held at the Yangtze International Conference Center in Nanjing. At the event, Nangang Group (hereinafter "Nangang") officially announced its full adoption of Feishu and co-hosted this industry summit focused on enhancing productivity through AI in the steel sector. The forum also featured an awards ceremony for winning teams of the "Nangang·Feishu AI Efficiency Pioneer Competition." Attendees included Li Yiren, Vice President of the China Iron and Steel Association; Zhu Ruirong, President of Nangang Co., Ltd.; Ru Jintong, Dean of the Nangang Digital Application Research Institute; and Zhang Di, Commercial Vice President of Feishu.
Zhu Ruirong, President of Nangang Co., Ltd., stated: "This year, Nangang has deepened collaboration with Feishu, continuously breaking down data and collaboration barriers in areas such as collaborative office operations, knowledge management, and business analytics. This enables AI not only to empower machinery but also to benefit every manager and frontline employee, marking our initial exploration and practice of AI equality. We aim to work with Feishu to push the steel industry’s AI from 'usable' to 'easy-to-use' and from pilot trials to systemic deployment, jointly uncovering replicable pathways for universal AI adoption."
Zhang Di, Commercial Vice President of Feishu, said: "The essence of AI equality lies in enabling frontline personnel to easily master AI tools, allowing those deeply immersed in operations to independently harness AI capabilities. Nangang sets an outstanding example for industrial digitalization—Feishu and Nangang achieved deep integration within just three months, deploying AI capabilities directly onto production lines and specific business scenarios. This empowers staff to independently build intelligent applications, yielding multiple significant outcomes."

Nangang: A Pioneer in Smart Steel Manufacturing
Founded in 1958, Nangang is a key backbone steel enterprise established during China's Second Five-Year Plan period and is known as the "cradle of Jiangsu's iron and steel industry." It is also among the first batch of national "Digital Navigation" enterprises. Over the years, Nangang has dedicated itself to overcoming critical technological bottlenecks, supplying essential specialty steel materials for major national projects. It was the first to establish the world’s inaugural GRT+C2M smart factory, making it a trailblazer in smart steel manufacturing.
Public financial data shows that in 2025, Nangang produced 11.35 million tons of crude steel, ranking 35th globally among steel producers. In 2024, the group's revenue exceeded 200 billion yuan, securing the top position on Nanjing’s Top 100 Enterprises list for consecutive years. It has been rated as an A+ competitiveness enterprise in China's steel industry for nine consecutive years and owns four nationally recognized champion products in manufacturing. As early as 2015, Nangang proactively proposed the strategy of "digitalizing all operations and operationalizing all digital activities," establishing a leading "one brain, three centers" digital architecture under the guidance of "industrial intelligence and intelligent industries," becoming a benchmark model for digital transformation in China's manufacturing sector.
Using Feishu as the Foundation to Shape a New Paradigm of the 'AI Organization'
In this collaboration, Nangang adopts Feishu as its unified digital foundation to accelerate its evolution into an intelligent "AI organization." As an industry leader with extensive experience in digital innovation and having independently developed the industry-leading "Yuan Ye" large steel model, Nangang partners with Feishu to co-create a full-chain "excellence operations system." Leveraging Feishu’s integrated collaboration and AI capabilities, strategic goals are efficiently communicated to frontline teams, ensuring smooth cross-departmental coordination and technological innovation on a unified platform. More importantly, Nangang is transforming the concept of "AI equality—everyone as an AI user"—into practical, accessible tools for frontline employees. Combining its strong digital foundation with Feishu’s connectivity and intelligent technologies, this steel industry leader is achieving a new leap in organizational efficiency.
Pioneer Competition Ignites Company-Wide Innovation
The vitality of company-wide AI adoption has already been demonstrated through the earlier-launched AI Efficiency Pioneer Competition. Since its launch, the competition attracted over 1,000 Nangang employees, collected more than 200 business innovation cases, conducted over 100 AI application training sessions, and ultimately advanced 20 high-quality projects into the finals, covering all business scenarios and production chain segments including process optimization, equipment maintenance, quality control, safety inspections, and administrative operations.
A series of replicable frontline AI application benchmarks have emerged: In the ironmaking division, engineers built a blast furnace expert computational model on Feishu Miaoda, reducing the time required for calculating key process parameters from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes—a 85% efficiency gain—successfully bringing valuable "expert computing power" directly to the production floor. The energy and power unit developed a digital dual-prevention mechanism system covering six production units and managing over 1,220 risk points, improving monthly hazard summary efficiency by 6 to 10 times while achieving 100% closed-loop management throughout the hazard resolution process.

Co-Creating the Future Blueprint for AI in the Steel Industry
At this forum, Nangang officially unveiled upgraded capabilities of its "Yuan Ye" large steel model along with several core technical achievements. As a core co-organizer, Feishu hosted a specialized sub-forum focusing on practical outcomes of integrated collaboration in large steel enterprises, partnering with ecosystem allies to explore concrete pathways for AI empowerment in the steel industry.
From "AI-driven innovation" built upon lean management foundations to synchronized advancement in organizational capability and technological iteration, the partnership between Nangang and Feishu extends far beyond a single competition or forum. Going forward, both parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as operational excellence, universal AI adoption, and agile collaboration, transforming the spark of company-wide innovation into replicable, scalable industry benchmarks. Together, they aim to chart a practical, actionable development path for China’s steel industry to embrace new industrialization and serve as a transformative model for building future "AI organizations."
