Powering Smart Manufacturing with AI: Sunwoda Embraces Feishu

"Sunwoda will move forward hand in hand with Feishu, treating digitalization as a long-term capability building initiative, and enabling AI to become a multiplier of the company's core competitiveness."

Sunwoda & Feishu Signing Ceremony On-Site

Recently, Sunwoda Electronic Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Sunwoda") jointly held the Feishu full-scale rollout project mobilization meeting and signing ceremony with Feishu in Shenzhen. Wang Mingwang, founder of Sunwoda, attended via video link, along with Chairman Wang Wei and other representatives; on the Feishu side, Commercial Vice President Zhang Di, Southern China Manufacturing Industry Lead Sheng Shaoqin, and Southern China Manufacturing Industry Customer Success Lead Wu Pengkun attended the event.

Prior to this, subsidiaries under Sunwoda had already adopted the Feishu system. Over two years of collaboration, both parties have accumulated rich practical experience in collaborative work and AI applications. Building on this foundation, Feishu is now set to serve Sunwoda comprehensively. This not only affirms Sunwoda’s achievements from earlier implementation phases but also signifies that the partnership has evolved from a single business scope to group-level collaboration and innovation in AI-powered work methods.

Wang Wei stated: "Despite continuous evolution in AI technology, talent remains the primary productive force. By integrating AI, Feishu helps every employee enhance work efficiency and competitiveness, maximizing the value of human capital. While using intelligent tools, we must also uphold independent judgment and implement necessary verification processes to achieve true human-AI collaboration. Looking ahead, Sunwoda will treat digitalization as a long-term capacity-building goal, turning AI into an amplifier that strengthens the company's core competitiveness."

Zhang Di added: "Feishu has served numerous enterprises in sectors such as consumer electronics and new energy vehicles—many of whom are also Sunwoda’s customers or supply chain partners—laying a natural foundation for industrial chain collaboration. Sunwoda possesses thirty years of accumulated project experience, manufacturing knowledge, and business methodologies, akin to a 'treasure trove of knowledge.' Feishu will leverage its collaborative and AI capabilities to activate these knowledge reserves, working with Sunwoda to transform digitalization into a long-term competitive advantage for the future."

Founded in 1997 and ranked among both the Global New Energy 500 and China's Top 500 Enterprises, Sunwoda’s business spans multiple segments including consumer batteries, power batteries, and energy storage batteries, with production bases and marketing offices deployed globally. According to Zoss Consulting, the company has consistently ranked first worldwide in smartphone battery shipments for many years, second in notebook and tablet battery shipments; according to data from Korean research firm SNE Research, Sunwoda’s HEV lithium battery installation volume rose to first globally in the second quarter of 2023.

As early as March 2024, one of Sunwoda’s subsidiaries began using Feishu. Subsequently, Feishu gradually expanded into business scenarios such as project management, quality control, safety and environmental operations, and supply chain. Based on frontline operational needs, employees built applications such as project management dashboards and closed-loop quality issue work orders using tools like Multidimensional Tables. Particularly in logistics and warehouse planning scenarios, centralized information management via Multidimensional Tables boosted work efficiency by approximately 70%.

Currently, Feishu serves Sunwoda enterprise-wide, connecting various business units, geographically dispersed teams, and employees across roles. Leveraging Feishu’s integrated capabilities—including messaging, documents, meetings, and Multidimensional Tables—Sunwoda will further improve information flow efficiency across R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. AI features such as Doubaowork will also be embedded into daily workflows to help employees more efficiently capture knowledge, process information, and advance task execution. To meet Sunwoda’s needs for cross-unit collaboration and global operations, Feishu will also empower cross-organizational collaboration and overseas business expansion through multilingual support and data compliance functionalities.

Looking ahead, both parties will take unified collaboration as a starting point, promoting deeper integration of AI into business operations around high-efficiency meetings, knowledge management, and intelligent inspections. Through initiatives such as AI bootcamps and efficiency pioneer programs, they aim to engage more frontline employees in AI application development. Sunwoda and Feishu will continue deepening their cooperation, driving digital and intelligent capabilities into more business scenarios and jointly exploring new pathways for digital and intelligent transformation in the manufacturing industry.
