Yizumi x Feishu: Transforming AI from a “Personal Tool” into an “Organizational Capability”

Feishu’s New Partner

Recently, the launch ceremony and signing event for Yizumi’s Feishu collaborative office platform was successfully held at Yizumi’s Global Innovation Center in Shunde, Foshan. Present to witness the occasion were Zhen Ronghui, Director and General Manager of Yizumi; Yu Zhuokun, Director and Deputy General Manager of Yizumi; Zhang Di, Vice President of Commercialization at Feishu; and Sheng Shaoqin, Head of Feishu’s Manufacturing Industry Division for Southern China—alongside core teams from both sides. The two parties are expected to engage in deep collaboration centered on collaborative office solutions, organizational efficiency enhancement, and AI-driven transformation.

“We adopted Feishu not to chase trends, nor merely to replace our existing communication channels—but to transform artificial intelligence from an individual tool into an organizational capability,” Yu Zhuokun stated in his speech, defining the core significance of this partnership agreement.

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong Province, Yizumi is a listed company on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and a leading Chinese manufacturer of mid-to-high-end molding equipment. Its injection molding machines consistently rank among the top three in the industry by comprehensive metrics; its LEAP series ultra-large die-casting machines—ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 tons—have already been delivered and put into operation. Yizumi’s products are marketed globally. With rapid overseas business growth and operations spanning multiple time zones and languages, the company faces a critical challenge: how to systematically accumulate and institutionalize its accumulated expertise and technical assets—a key issue confronting this equipment manufacturer.

A recent internal survey sharpened the problem into concrete terms: 93% of colleagues are already using AI tools, yet only 7% apply them to actual business processes—and a mere 5% of knowledge that can be identified and understood by AI is stored within the company’s systems. In Yu Zhuokun’s view, individual tools alone cannot resolve the persistent challenges of fragmented knowledge, disconnected data, and uncodified methodologies. “Past tools solved only the question of ‘how people find people’; Feishu, by contrast, focuses on solving ‘how experience is retained.’” He added: “AI is like an engine, while Feishu serves as the chassis and fuel tank. Without a robust chassis and sufficient fuel, even the most powerful engine cannot drive the vehicle forward.”

Following the official platform launch, Yizumi plans to implement AI adoption in three phases: First, it will codify implementation plans, project post-mortems, and commissioning experiences into Feishu Docs and the company knowledge base—with senior management leading by example. As Yu emphasized, “Saying something ten times in a group chat is less effective than documenting it once.” Second, within the next one to two months, Yizumi will migrate all 61 applications, 18 agents, and digital employees currently hosted on its legacy office platform to Feishu—ensuring data remains online and AI-readable. Concurrently, Yizumi will establish an AI Pioneer Team and host its first AI Competition in May next year, aiming to “transform individual intelligence into team capability, and aggregate team effectiveness into organizational capability.”

“Whether Yizumi can break through current bottlenecks with AI—and with advanced office tools such as Feishu—will determine whether the company can sustain steady growth amid the next wave of competition,” Zhen Ronghui stressed in his concluding remarks. He candidly acknowledged that over the past two decades, Yizumi has relentlessly pursued excellence in every injection molding machine, die-casting machine, and rubber machine it produces—achieving global sales reach. Looking ahead, however, “relying solely on hardware manufacturing is far from sufficient.” Facing the global operational challenges of cross-time-zone, cross-language coordination—and compliance with diverse national safety and technical regulations—the question of “how to systematically accumulate years of experience and technical assets” has become unavoidable. A single injection molding machine involves over 2,000 configuration options; relying exclusively on senior technicians to impart knowledge and train pre-sales, in-sales, and after-sales personnel is not only inefficient but also entails extremely long talent development cycles. “We must break away from the traditional master-apprentice model and prevent skill loss due to employee turnover.”

Zhen Ronghui outlined three expectations on-site: First, management—especially middle managers—must genuinely participate and lead by example, treating AI adoption as a ‘top-priority initiative’ for enhancing organizational capability. Second, application scenarios must focus squarely on real business needs, piloting select processes early and converting outcomes into tangible benefits. Third, he expressed hope that the Feishu team would deeply integrate into Yizumi’s operations and co-build a long-term cooperative relationship. “We hope AI truly becomes an intelligent assistant for every ‘Yizumi colleague.’”

Zhang Di, Vice President of Commercialization at Feishu, remarked: “Only by delegating complex, repetitive tasks to AI can enterprises achieve ‘faster execution than competitors.’” Feishu will bring its accumulated, field-tested experience in manufacturing scenarios to Yizumi—first helping Yizumi ‘lay a solid foundation,’ then supporting the development of Yizumi’s own distinctive capabilities. Through hands-on, companion-style service, Feishu aims to help Yizumi not only adopt AI effectively but also deepen its usage—enabling artificial intelligence to truly flow and operate across the organization.

The equipment manufacturing industry is undergoing a profound AI-driven transformation. Starting from Shunde, Yizumi has shipped molding equipment to destinations worldwide. Today, Yizumi and Feishu are embarking on a new journey together: establishing AI as an intelligent assistant for every Yizumi employee—and transforming collaboration and AI-powered capabilities into enduring organizational strength.
